Day Opportunities at Cumas are about much more than filling a day. They are about creating opportunities to learn, develop, connect, contribute, build friendships, try new things and be part of community life.
How it Works
There is no single Day Opportunities experience. Each individual has their own interests, strengths, choices and aspirations, and opportunities are shaped around what matters to them. This can include learning and personal development, creativity, health and wellbeing, social and community participation, life skills, friendships and new experiences.
Across our different locations and in the wider community, individuals can take part in a varied mix of group programmes, individual opportunities and community-based experiences, with the flexibility to explore new interests and progress towards personal goals.
Most importantly, Day Opportunities are not static. As interests develop, confidence grows and lives change, opportunities can change too — creating space for new experiences, greater independence, progression and meaningful participation in everyday life.
